SPECIAL PATTERNS
Some places say "they do custom sewing" but only use a standard stock pattern cut. We call that manufacturing several at a time which does keep costs down but many times yields a poor fit. We actually make a pattern, JUST FOR YOU, and keep it on file for one year from your last order. That's CUSTOM Sewing. Don't be fooled by poor fitting imitations.
CUSTOM Sewing entails "making a CUSTOM PATTERN" which takes a lot of TIME. We have found that some people perhaps do not require our CUSTOM FITTED Garments or would prefer to save the extra cost involved. Therefore now we also offer "Standard Cut Prices" as well which limit any changes to 1" from our Standard Size Charts in our catalog. If you have a SPECIAL PATTERN or found one that you would like made, send it to us and we'll give you a price quote. Or send several patterns designing your own "one of a kind" CUSTOM ORIGINAL.
For EXAMPLE: take this sleeve from one pattern, a collar off another, we will put these on whichever dress pattern you select for the bodice (body of the dress) and you have designed your own SPECIAL LOOK. We are your CUSTOM SEAMSTRESS not a manufacturess or a jobber with a lot of employees just putting in their time, so they can relax at home.

All patterns sent in become the property of Lydia of Purple. Yes, we will sew patterns supplied to us (but they must be modest). We do not return patterns or fabric remnants sent to us but we do keep your pattern on file for one year from your last purchase off it. Be sure to update your size measurements when needed.
